Special Town Meeting voters approved a $100,000 transfer for new math curriculum textbooks and software licenses for the Rockland School Department. The request follows a previous School Committee decision in February to move forward with a modernization of the math program to better align with educational standards.

The funding will be used to secure licenses and physical materials for use starting in the current fiscal year. School officials had previously identified the math curriculum upgrade as a priority capital project to address evolving classroom needs and software requirements.

Motion: To transfer $100,000 for school textbooks and software.
